Brand Counters League of Legends Patch 14.4

Are you constantly losing to Brand in League of Legends? Not to worry, this article is here to bring you the best picks to play against Brand with.

Not many would have believed Brand would be one of the best junglers in League of Legends at the start of Season 13, but here we are. According to Mobalytics, Brand is in S tier for junglers with over a 51% win rate on patch 14.4. Brand can clear jungle camps at ease thanks to his passive and has one of the most satisfying Voidgrub clears of any jungler in the game right now. The question is, how do you stop Brand if he is on the opposing team? ESTNN is here to bring you the best counters to Brand to help you pick up some more LP and climb the League of Legends ladder. This article will also tell you which junglers you should not pick into Brand, while also highlighting which solo laners have the best synergy with Brand.

Best Brand Counters in LoL

Elise

One of the biggest problems for Brand is his early game. Brand struggles greatly against junglers who look to catch the enemy out early. Elise is one of the best junglers at contesting brand in the early game. Her stun is enough to catch Brand off guard and potentially kill him – at the very least push him out of his own jungle, sending him back to base. Elise has the highest win percentage across any jungler in the game at just over 52%.

Kayn

The theme for these Brand counters is early-game aggression. Although Brand’s passive provides a strong counter to most junglers, Kayn is one of the champions to provide a challenge to Brand in both the early game and the late game. Kayn scales well, and, depending on which form you select, should be able to one-shot Brand the further into the game you get. Kayn players should look to avoid fighting Brand when Shadow Step is down. This ability is pivotal to dodging Brand’s skills which means he will not be able to apply his passive.

Rengar

Rengar is one of the strongest champions you should pick into Brand for patch 14.4. Rengar is very strong in the early game and counter-jungling is what you should be looking to do against Brand. Although Brand has a very strong passive for clearing jungle camps, Brand can often be found left with little health. This is where Rengar shines, having hard CC and burst damage to take down Brand in the early-game. With Assasins such as Rengar, you want to be looking to pick off Brand before an objective is about to come up. This is because Brand's ultimate and standard abilities do a lot of burst damage that would one-shot Rengar if he is caught.

Worst Champions To Pick Into Brand In League of Legends

Amumu is statistically the worst champion you can pick into Brand in patch 14.4. Early on, Brands passive is extremely deadly and easy to prock through various combos. Amumu scales into the game as he picks up items, meaning early on, he offers very little if he is caught out by Brand. To make matters worse, Amumu relies on his Q-skill shot. If he misses that up close against Brand, they are asking for trouble.

Like Amumu, Sejuani suffers early on from her lack of health and sustain. The best bet for Sejuani is to look for early-game ganks and have a good understanding of where Brand is on the map. Before level 6, Brand easily wins the matchup against Sejuani so it is best to avoid skirmishing early with him if possible. The key is to make sure Brand is either chunked out before an objective or completely off the map otherwise, his ultimate will do a ton of damage bouncing off of the Dragon or Baron.
