Best K’Sante Counters in League of Legends

Do you need help laning against K’Sante in League of Legends? Don't worry—here are the best champions to help you climb the LoL ladder.

Since his release, K’Sante has been one of the strongest top laners in League of Legends—perhaps one of the strongest releases of any champion to date. He has always been viable in solo queue and has been one of the staple champions in competitive play across the globe. There aren’t many champions that can stand up to him. So the question is, which champions can take him down? Stay tuned to this article to find the three best counters to K’Sante in League of Legends.

Best K’Sante Counters in LoL

Wukong

wukong lol

Wukong has returned to form in the top lane in League of Legends. Patch 14.7 has been kind to him and he is now one of the stronger picks into K’Sante in the lane. Wukong clone gives him an easy escape if K’Sante goes for an all-in, even before level 6.

Whenever he tries to knock you up with his empowered Q, pop the clone and run away. Once Wukong had six, he became a stronger outlet than K’Sante and won the 1v1 after that.

The only thing Wukong players need to be wary of is running in behind him because his ultimate goal is to put you into his tower if you are close enough, so try to keep the lane a fair distance away from his tower. Simply last hit and let the lane slow push into your own tower. He doesn’t have the same escape tools if he is caught far up the lane.

Kayle

Kayle has the range advantage over K’Sante from level 6 onwards. Once she does have the range, K’Sante can’t play the lane. If he tries to engage, he will take the full damage of your ultimate. On top of that, you can push him off it whenever he goes to CS with your poke. T

his lane becomes obnoxious for K’Sante as he will have no lane pressure. There isn’t that much to it in this lane. Be patient and wait for your ultimate to come online. From there, he cannot contest you, especially in the side lane as the game progresses, he will not be able to stop you from split pushing and will draw another player to your lane.

Vayne

Vayne has always been considered one of the best counters into a tank in the top lane, and going up K’Sante is no different for the marksman. Similar to how Kayle wants to play the lane, when K’Sante goes up to kill a minion hit him with your auto attacks, you will start to poke him out of the lane.

Keep the wave close to your tower, and ideally freeze it. He cannot play the game because the second he walks up, you can all-in him with your ultimate. Ghost is recommended in this match-up. This is because if the lane is close to your tower, Ghost plus your ultimate will be more than enough to chase him down and kill him.

There are many different items you can build first on Vayne in the top lane, but ideally, you will want an item that can burst through tank defenses, as K’Sante will beef up early to try and negate the poke.

Worst Champion To Pick Into K’Sante In League of Legends

Ornn is one of the worst champions to play into K’Sante in League of Legends on patch 14.7, with a win rate of just over 47%, according to Mobalytics. This isn’t exactly because K’Sante counters him, but in team fights, K’Sante can ultimately take Ornn out of the fights, get onto the backline, and assassinate the enemy carries.

Early on, Ornn is one of the more powerful laners, especially in a melee vs. Melee match-up, so try not to get into a brawl with him unless you really have to. Both of you will be tanky come the late game, but as mentioned, you still have a lot more damage to output, thanks to your ultimate.
