Best Chiori Build Guide – Genshin Impact

This Best Chiori Build Guide will help you dominate Genshin Impact with the Geo fashion designer

Chiori is the latest addition to the game’s five-star characters. As usual, the hype around the new 5-star is massive, possibly due to being a Geo character as well as having a stunning design. Players have their primogems stocked up for this fashion designer from Fontaine.

If you are planning to spend your precious primogems on Chiori, you have found yourself in the right place! This guide will help you build her effectively by diving into the best choices for her, starting from weapons to artifacts to her talents.

Best Chiori Build Guide

Chiori wields a sword and channels the power of Geo. She is the first Geo Sword Character after Albedo who was released towards the start of the game. While she can benefit from ATK she mostly scales off DEF so that is the primary stat to focus on. She is a great fit for the role of a sub-dps

Top Weapons for Chiori

  1. Uraku Misugiri: As her signature weapon, this is the best-in-slot weapon for Chiori. The Crit DMG you obtain from the weapon will be massive and makes her easier to build as you get to focus on DEF% elsewhere. The passive boosts her normal attacks and elemental skill DMG, making her not only a good sub-DPS but also allowing her to excel if you wish to play her as the main DPS. Geo Resonance anyway increases damage output but having another GEO character will benefit further with Uraku Misugiri as the weapon’s effects will be increased by 100% for 15s whenever another character deals Geo DMG.
  2. Primordial Jade Cutter: If you don’t have the luck or the primos to pull for her signature weapon, Primordial Jade Cutter is the next best 5-star to use on her. It gives her a significant 44.1% crit rate, and any weapon that adds crit value makes farming for artifacts easier. The passive also grants her 20% HP as well as a small ATK bonus based on her max HP, so you wouldn’t need to pair her up with a healer.
  3. Cinnabar Spindle: If you are an F2P who played during Version 2.3, you most probably have the Cinnabar Spindle and you just got very lucky! Albedo’s signature weapon is one of the best F2P options for Chiori. As she relies on her skill a lot and scales off DEF, the passive and sub-stat of Cinnabar Spindle is excellent for her. The major downside of this weapon is that it would require you to really hustle for crit stats on artifacts.
  4. Harbinger of Dawn: While most 3-star weapons are immediately trashed, HoD is still considered to be a superior weapon even after three years of Genshin due to its Crit stats. The low base ATK isn’t much of an issue for Chiori cause you want more DEF for her anyway. You should already have an R5 HoD very easily, and it will give you a 28% Crit Rate besides the 46.9% Crit DMG. In this case, you must have a healer or shielder to keep Chiori’s HP above 90% for the passive to be in effect.

Ideal Artifact Sets for Chiori

  1. Husk of Opulent Dreams 4 PC: Just like Itto and Albedo, Husk of Opulent Dreams is ideal for Chiori as it will increase both DEF and Geo DMG. If you pair her up with another GEO character like Zhongli or Albedo, the curiosity stacks can easily be maxed. You can farm these artifacts at Slumbering Court but we understand how frustrating it can be to get Ocean-Hued Clam so we recommend using the artifact strongbox instead.
  2. Golden Troupe 4 PC: As Chiori fits the role of a sub-dps most, Golden Troupe is an amazing set for her as she may just use her skill and go off the field. Golden Troupe will allow her elemental skill to shine, with a whopping 70% increase in DMG. You may need to focus more on DEF% as sub-stats or even go for a DEF goblet to make up for the no bonus from passives.
  3. Husk of Opulent Dreams 2 PC + Golden Troupe 2 PC: It can be quite difficult to have 4 good artifacts from one set. If that is the case for you, consider using two pieces from each set. This way you get a good blend of DEF% as well as elemental skill DMG, making Chiori a pretty flexible character to play with.

Talent Priority for Chiori

If you love Chiori, triple crowning is the way to go! However, if you are stingy with your resources (as you should be), we recommend the following order:

Elemental Skill ➜ Elemental Burst ➜ Normal Attack.

When Chiori’s Elemental Skill is tapped, she will quickly dash forward to deal Geo Damage and if you hold it, she can aim and dash towards the particular point (Geo Keqing/Alhaitham, is that you?). The skill, regardless of tap or hold, will summon doll turrets (Tamoto) and deal Geo damage every 3 seconds.

When tapped, Chiori can also trigger “Tapestry” which switches to the next character and grants all party members “Seize the Moment’, which leads to Tamoto dealing AoE Geo DMG towards the opponent’s direction.

As for her Elemental Burst, it is quite simple and deals AoE Geo damage. Her normal attacks aren’t anything special except she gains Geo infusion for 5 seconds, thanks to the “Tailoring” effect. Her normal attack gains much more value at C6 when the Geo infusions get a 235% Def bonus.

Geo characters are comparatively rare, so Chiori’s arrival is certainly exciting for the Genshin Community. If you are planning to pull her, we wish you the best of luck and hope this guide can help you farm for her well. For more builds, guides and gaming news, make sure to keep an eye on ESTNN.
