Abiotic Factor Cooking Guide

Since Abiotic Factor is a game in which there is a strong survival component, the aspect of food management certainly cannot be missed. If you want to live long enough to see what the game has to offer, you'll need to learn how to cook and handle food as soon as possible. Without it, in fact, as it should be in this type of game, you won't get very far.

For this reason, in this Abiotic Factor cooking guide, we will tell you everything you need to know about this aspect of the game. Not only how you should cook, but also what foods and recipes you have available. If you are short on food and don't know how to proceed, this is the right place for you.

Abiotic Factor Cooking Guide

In Abiotic Factor, you have four different ways to cook food, although not all of them will be available from the start. In fact, as soon as you start your adventure, you will have the opportunity to cook your food with a frying pan or with boiling water. Then, as you gain more and more skill in this activity and reach Cooking 3 level, you will unlock the possibility of being able to make soup. Finally, by reaching Cooking level 10, you will also be able to use the oven.

Also, another thing to point out that is extremely important is that as you become better and better at cooking, your food will also become better and better. In fact, the same dish can be cooked in different ways to ensure that its effects are greater and/or longer-lasting. So, consequently, spending time cooking is not only useful for creating food on the spot or unlocking new cooking types, but also for having greater advantages in the game.

Finally, as often happens in other games of the genre, in Abiotic Factor there is also a mechanic that causes food to go bad. The cooked version, however, will take longer to spoil than the raw version, so we always recommend cooking everything you find. Also, don't forget to make use of refrigerators, as they can drastically slow down the deterioration process.

Note: Another very important thing to take into account is that alien food is radioactive when raw. This means that, to prevent other foods from becoming so, we recommend storing it away or in special hazard crates.

How to Make Soup in Abiotic Factor

To be able to cook soup in Abiotic Factor, the first thing you need to do is reach Cooking level 3. As a result, you will not be able to cook soups from the start, but you will first have to get on with your adventure and dedicate time to cooking. However, once you reach the required level, all you have to do is place a cooking pot with water on a portable stove and insert the ingredients.

Use the ingredients you need to cook the soup and once it is ready, all you have to do is take the cooking pot and place it on a flat surface. Then, the next thing to do is to use a soup bowl to be able to put the soup inside. Each pot of soup will be able to provide you with four servings of soup.

Note: You don't have to have found the recipe for a specific soup to be able to cook it. If you know the ingredients, just place them inside the cooking pot, and you're done.

Vending Machines

Finally, we want to conclude this guide by also talking to you about vending machines. Although they are not a great food resource in Abiotic Factor, they are not to be underestimated. If you find yourself in a place where you can't cook and are running out of food, they are definitely a great alternative. In fact, although you will not have any benefits from consuming the food found inside them, they are still able to restore your hunger and thirst.
