Liquid claims victory in the Aberrus the Shadowed Crucible RWF.

After a massive push from all the guilds, we finally have a winner of the Aberrus the Shadowed Crucible RWF. Taking just a week, Aberrus was one of the shortest RWF in recent memory. Though it wasn't any less exciting. Things started off slowly, as they always do under the new “release all 4 at once” approach. But, once they got started Liquid pulled ahead quickly and stromed through Mythic. Echo and Method were quick to follow them, however, and by Neltharion (boss 8/9) the 3 guilds were closer than ever. It would be Liquid that made the first push into Sarkereth, but again, Echo and Method were right behind. By day 6, however, and with Liquid pulling off stream both Echo and Method would pull ahead as the race looked to be entering its final day.

While EU guilds started day 6 thinking they had a lead, that was quickly put to bed when Liquid streamed for the first time on their penultimate day having got the boss to just 4%. With Liquid likely to kill it before they went to bed that night (Monday) EU had the rest of Monday to kill the boss, or risk waking up to a kill. The day continued with Liquid starting to close in on the 1% wipes, while Echo began to close the gap. By 19:00 EU, Echo were at 14% with not a lot of time left in their raid day.

As it went on, Liquid continued to pull sub-1% as Echo closed in, but, Liquid made it stick and claimed a massive RWF victory. In one of the shortest tiers in recent time, Liquid have claimed a RWF victory again, as the race got tight towards the end.
