A brand new mode has arrived in Warzone 2, but what is Unhinged Mode?
Warzone 2 has just gone live, and while players have been loading in, you may have noticed a brand new gamemode, unhinged. While Warzone 2 still features all the normal game modes we know and love from Warzone, unhinged is a new way to play the game that takes full advantage of the new proximity chat feature.
What is Warzone 2 Unhinged?
Unhinged is a brand-new game mode that takes full advantage of the proximity chat in Warzone 2. In this game mode, players can join other squads, making a maximum squad size of 6.
This trio playlist allows players to use their ping wheel to request an invitation to another player's squad. If accepted, squads can merge together to create a maximum squad size of 6. This adds brand new elements of gameplay to Warzone 2, but means you must stay on your toes as you may come up against a team of 6.
Warzone 2 currently features general BR playlists of Solos, Duos and Quads, while the Trio modes are Unhinged and 3rd person.
While the mode is limited to just trio’s following Warzone 2’s launch, we expect to see it brought to different size modes in the future.
