Call of Duty: Wale Announced As Performer For Royal Ravens Opening Night

World-renowned American rapper, Wale, will perform on the opening night of London Royal Ravens‘ home series event this week. He's joining DJ Nicky Romero as one of the few exclusive Call of Duty League musical acts.

The London Royal Ravens, one of just two of the European teams in the league (the other being the Paris Legion) will host its official first home series game at the Copper Box Arena on February 8th and 9th. The franchise is owned by ReKTGlobal, a parent company of Rogue.

Managing Director of London Royal Ravens Michael O’Dell had this to say about Wale and DJ Romero’s additions to the league:

“With Wale joining the concert lineup, the Home Series brings together the biggest artists in hip hop and EDM, plus the world’s best Call of Duty pro athletes. The inaugural homestand weekend for the London Royal Ravens is a can’t miss event with unforgettable performances, an action-packed esports tournament and lots of behind-the-scenes access for fans and the challenger scene.”

Wale first rose to prominence in 2006, when his song “Dig Dug (Shake It)” became popular in his hometown. Wale became locally recognized and continued recording music for his regional audience, reaching new heights of fame between 2009 and 2010. His latest album “Wow…That’s Crazy” was released on October 11, 2019, under Warner Records label. The album includes features from Meek Mill, Rick Ross, Bryson Tiller, Ari Lennox, Boogie, 6lack, and Lil Derk.

The teams that will be joining The Ravens for their first home series are Chicago’s Huntsmen, The Dallas Empire, The Los Angeles Guerrillas, New York Subliners, Seattle Surge, Toronto Ultra, and the aforementioned Paris Legion.
