The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is doing well in the US
After being made available for purchase on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms in early May, Warner's game saw a considerable increase in popularity, moving up from the sixth spot on the April list to the second spot. The only new product to rank in the top 20 software charts for the month of May was Tears of the Kingdom, which is noteworthy. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which came before it, also had a significant rise in the rankings, moving up from the 28th position in April to the 13th position.
The hardware market generated $338 million in exceptional expenditure in May, according to Circana, the largest May spending total since the industry brought in $427 million in 2008. In terms of both sales volume and dollar income for the preceding month, the Nintendo Switch emerged as the market leader. The PlayStation 5, on the other hand, has continued to hold sway over the hardware industry throughout the year, dominating in terms of both units sold and money made.
In May, the total amount spent in the United States on game hardware, content, and accessories increased noticeably by 12% year over year, accounting for a sizeable total of $4.1 billion in terms of overall consumer spending. Consumer expenditure as of this point in the year, which is $21.8 billion, has not changed.
