Neither OpTic, nor Thieves have lost a single series so far, but who will be the first team to qualify for the Stage 4 Major Final?
Only 4 teams remain in the Call of Duty League 2023 Stage 4 Major! In the Lower Bracket, Atlanta FaZe and New York Subliners will have their last shot in proceeding towards the Grand Final, while Los Angeles Thieves will face off against OpTic Texas, with the winner claiming the first spot of the last match.

OpTic Texas
After managing to stay flawless in the CDL Stage 4 Qualifiers, Cuyler “Huke” Garland and his teammates didn’t slow down. In their first match of the Upper Bracket, they beat Boston Breach 3-1, and even though they lost the Embassy Search and Destroy 3-6, they beat Breach on both Hardpoints (250-164 Mercado; 250-191 Hotel) and managed to snatch the victory from the newest team of the Call of Duty League on Hotel Control. After defeating Breach, they steamrolled over New York Subliners, beating them 3-0 and with huge leads on all the maps.
The team is pulling amazing numbers according to stats site Breaking Point, with Brandon “Dashy” Otell and Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro having a 25.8 Kills per 10 Minutes on Hardpoint, Dashy carrying the team in terms of stats in SnD, and Huke stepping up big time on Control. OpTic seems unbeatable so far, but can they finally win a Major?
Los Angeles Thieves
Kenneth “Kenny” Williams and Los Angeles Thieves are also doing amazing, even though they didn’t manage to stay undefeated in the Qualifiers and in the Winners Round 2. Los Angeles Thieves beat Minnesota RØKKR 3-1 in the first round of the Upper Bracket, only losing a Control (but even that was a bit too close for comfort for the Minnesotan team). They went on to knock the legendary Atlanta FaZe to the Lower Bracket afterwards, with a confident showing on both the stage and on Twitter, as after the 3-1 victory, Zack “Drazah” Jordan posted some spicy tweets.
The harsh posts are however supported by some great stats by the teams, who are not as adept as OpTic in terms of number, but they are still doing amazing – especially on control, where they are ahead of their opponents.
OpTic Texas vs Los Angeles Thieves Predictions
But the numbers are only half of the picture, the other half is the momentum a team dictates on the match, and so far, OpTic Texas has been better in this regard. Not only that, but they were the only team that was able to beat the 2022 Championship winners in the Stage 4 Qualifiers, and there’s a good chance they can do it again.
