Fan-favorite map Nuketown is set to return yet again in Black Ops Cold War
Treyarch has revealed how they plan to start “the biggest Black Ops year” with a new content roadmap for Season One of Black Ops Cold War. BOCW is set to have more free post-launch content than ever, and Treyarch isn't holding back.
Nuketown Returns
To start, fan-favorite map Nuketown will return in the form of Nuketown ‘84. Nuketown first appeared in the Black Ops franchise in Black Ops 1 and has been a staple of the game since. Nuketown is set in a 1950’s suburb, with two houses and two busses in the center of the map, it is extremely small and focuses on close-quarters combat. It has appeared in some form or another in every Black Ops game, and this will be its fifth iteration.
Season One
In Season One players will be able to see the return of the popular game mode Gunfight. Gunfight is a 2v2 game mode where the weapon randomly switches every two rounds, this was first introduced in Modern Warfare and has been extremely popular. There will also be more multiplayer maps and modes, new weapons, new Zombies modes and much more.
Finally, players will also get to experience a change in Verdansk. This may be a new Warzone map or just a change to the old one. We’re not sure what is happening yet, but there will definitely be a change for Warzone fans to look out for in Season One.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War releases on November 13, Nuketown ‘84 arriving on November 24 and Season One starting on December 10.
