What is Attachment Tuning and how will it affect Modern Warfare 2?
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be the 2022 release for the series. Following the reveal today, we were given a massive amount of information about the Campaign and Multiplayer. Attachment Tuning is an interesting concept that will arrive for Modern Warfare 2, here’s the rundown.
What is Attachment Tuning?
Attachment Tuning is a brand-new feature for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 that allows players to change the characteristics of their attachments. For example, if a Barrel attachment increases recoil control, but reduces aim down sight speed, a player could adjust this to their liking. This would allow a player to use that same Barrel but have much less of an increase in recoil control in exchange for a faster aim down sight speed.
The Attachment Tuning feature will only be available on weapons of a certain level, however, so players will need to have leveled-up weapons before gaining access to tuning.

How will this affect the Call of Duty League?
Professional and Amateur Call of Duty players will need to take a hard look into Attachment Tuning following the release of Modern Warfare 2 and see if it fits into the competitive landscape.
Attachment Tuning may not be an issue, as tuning your weapon to favor one side will always have a negative impact on the other. However, if Attachment Tuning does give a big enough change to a weapon this may become an issue that will need to be resolved by the players, or the League.
