This new Call of Duty game mode will be available for testing very soon.
Call of Duty’s 2021 installment was revealed as Vanguard last week. Vanguard sees the franchise return to World War 2, and with each new game comes new movement, new mechanics and most importantly, new game modes.
Champion Hill is a brand new mode for Vanguard, and players can test it out for free very soon.
What is Champion Hill?
Champion Hill is a new mode that will replace Gunfight. However, Gunfight isn't all gone, as this mode incorporates features from it, alongside elements of battle royale and Apex Legends' Arena modes.
In Champion Hill, everyone starts with the same loadout and collects cash by killing enemies and collecting drops. This cash allows you to buy upgrades to your weapons, perks, equipment and killstreaks in Buy Rounds that happen between Combat Rounds.
Champion Hill also takes place on one large map split up into five sections. Specifically, there is a central Buy Station Area and four arenas for Combat Rounds: the Airstrip, the Trainyard, the Market, and the Courtyard. Once you are eliminated, you can watch how the tournament ends from the Buy Station Area spectator platform, but ideally, you survive long enough to see victory for yourself.
Welcome to Champion Hill.
