Following the worldwide reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, we take a look back at everything we now know heading up to the games release.
Campaign
We saw a lot of information released about Black Ops Cold War’s Campaign yesterday, so let's go through it.
Firstly, Black Ops Cold War’s Campaign is being developed by Raven Software. Treyarch’s Dan Bunting said that in order to get the game out in time for next gen launches they had to partner with Raven on making the Campaign. However, he insists that they have created a Campaign “worthy of the Black Ops name”.
During the BOCW Campaign, your choices will affect the ending. As a direct sequel to Black Ops 1, the multiple endings will lead into either Black Ops 2 or Modern Warfare 2019. Black Ops Cold War gives the player a lot of freedom in how they play missions and even voice lines which will all affect the end result.
To add even more customization, for the first time in a Call of Duty game you will be able to use a custom character in the Campaign. Players will be able to choose their name, gender, identity, back story and much more. However, this is solely cosmetic and will not affect the Campaign in any other way.
Many fans will be glad to hear that Woods, Hudson and Mason will all be returning as characters in Black Ops Cold War. These main characters will be joined by Russell Adler, Helen Park, Lazar Azoulay and Lawerence Sims who are all influential characters in the story.
Multiplayer
We don't know much about BOCW’s Multiplayer except for the short clip we saw at the end of the reveal. Although, Multiplayer reveal is scheduled for September 9th so we don't have long to wait before we see more gameplay.
