ESL and paysafe card Extend Partnership through 2019

ESL and paysafe card have extended their partnership through the end of 2019. The partnership offers top billing for paysafe throughout the ESL ecosystem, including CS:GO and PUBG.

Paysafe card is an online payment method, primarily in Europe, and offers online prepaid cards. Paysafe works at a variety of online outlets across the world, including gaming, online dating, and internet services.

The partnership with ESL includes the following:

  • The paysafe esports Hall of Fame, which “honour[s] well known accomplished personalities for their achievements during their esports
careers, totaling three awards per year.
  • The paysafe Beat the Legends tournaments, which gives games the opportunity to compete against and with professional gamers. This event is held four times a year at the Grand Final of the National Championships.
  • Finally, the paysafe Ultimate Experience, which gives fans the opportunity to win a VIP package to large-scale ESL events.

Expanding Opportunities

Paysafe card is not the only credit or debit card getting in on esports action. Credit card company Mastercard announced a multiyear partnership with Riot Games last September, becoming the first Global Partner of League of Legends. Other credit card providers have also entered the space. Visa, for example, entered into a partnership with global esports brand SK Gaming in 2017.
