The American esports organization Echo Fox added to the on-going Rostermania by announcing that they would be disbanding their CoD team in addition to their Gears of War roster as well as rosters from select fighting games as part of an organizational revamp. Their CoD run started on May 11, 2016, by signing Neslo, SinfuL, Cyborg, and Proofy. Regrettably, they couldn’t produce any decent results in tier 1 tournaments.
2018 was turning out to be a better year for the team. While they weren’t exactly breaking any records, they were performing well and improving. Their then roster of Temp, AquA, Faccento, and Saints had started getting decent results. They managed top 10 finishes in 3 out of the 5 major tournaments (Assault leading them to a 9-10 finish in the CWL Pro League stage 1 before Temp took his place) of the season, earning just over $60,000.
As the season concluded, AquA and Temp departed the team and joined Splyce leaving Faccento and Saints as the two remaining players. But as the team disbanded less than a week later, it looks like Faccento and Saints will be encountering tough times as they are now free agents and looking to join any team before the next season starts.
One good thing to take away is that Treyarch’s and Activision’s recent announcement of turning the 4v4 into a 5v5 opens up more slots in teams and the overall releasing of full rosters by teams being commonplace now, it seems like it won’t be too hard for the two to be able to find a team just in time for Black Ops 4. We hope they continue to improve and perform as they did in their former team.
