EA Sports FC: When is FIFA 24 Coming Out? Release Date, Price and Platforms

FIFA 24, otherwise known as EA Sports FC is the next instalment of the series.

EA Sports FC is set to be one of the biggest football games to ever be released. The new title will have the biggest licensing agreement in history meaning they will have the rights for the biggest competitions, leagues and players for both men's and women's football. Also, the game will be moving from the Hypermotion 2 game engine to a new one which will mean new animations, updated gameplay and more to bring the game to life.

EA Sports FC Release Date

September 29th is the big day when EA SPORTS FC 24 arrives on the scene, ready to conquer PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Speed up your gaming journey with Early Access, granting you a week-long head start. And for the ultimate experience, don't miss the chance to begin on September 22nd with the Ultimate Edition. EA Sports announced the EA FC 24 release date on July 13 during a live-streamed event. The developers also released the first EA FC 24 trailer that day.

The FIFA titles have consistently been released on the last week of September for over 15 years. This is to allow time for all the team's rosters to be updated after the summer transfer market for the top five European leagues closes.

Previous Fifa games have all been released at midnight in your specific time zone, which means countries such as New Zealand will receive the game first. For all the Ultimate Team players the web app is expected to have a 10-hour playtime available for everyone, which is usually opened 24 hours before the game is released. This gives players an early start to trade and do SBCs before the games launch to get a head start in making money and building strong teams.

How Much Will EA Sports FC Cost

Fifa is usually released with two versions of the game available. The Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition are both released for players to choose the specific version that will fit their needs. The Standard Edition is usually priced at $69.99 USD ( £69.99/ €79.99) on its release date and the Ultimate Edition is usually priced at $99.99 (£89.99/ €99.99).

EA FC 24 kept up the pricing trend as EA announced that the Standard version will be priced at $69.99, while the Ultimate Edition will come with a $99.99 price tag.

EA Sports FC is expected to be available on the EA Play Pro subscription service on its release date which is $14.99 a month (£14.99/ €14.99) or a yearly subscription of $99.99 (£89.99/ €99.99). The game will not be available on the standard EA Play subscription until May when it is made available in the catalog. If the game is released on Xbox One and PS4 it may include a price reduction on release.

What Platforms will EA Sports FC be on

EA Sports FC will be released on multiple platforms so the game will be very accessible for both console and PC players. The game will be available for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. There is no confirmation yet if it will be released on the previous generation of consoles as the game may not be able to run stable on them.

For PC users it should be available on Steam, Epic Games and EA App (Origin) which gives you a choice depending on which is your preferred marketplace. Cross-play is expected to return for 1v1 modes such as Ultimate Team, Online Seasons and Online Friendlies. It is not yet confirmed if Pro Clubs will be cross-platform.

Some other information is available on the official EA website which shows you all the major tournaments, the top leagues from around the world and some of the women's leagues that will all be playable in the game. More information on EA Sports FC is expected to be released in July where we are expected to get a confirmed release date and a full list of features that will be coming to this new chapter of Football games.
