After much speculation, EA Sports has finally announced the EA FC 24 TOTY nominees.

Lionel Messi has also made it to the list after claiming his 8th Ballon d’Or. He is highly likely to join Ronaldo in the final XI and share the glory of becoming one of the first non-European football league stars to grab a TOTY spot.

Manchester City unsurprisingly dominates the list of nominees after their historic treble-winning campaign. Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Rúben Dias, John Stones and Éderson have all earned nominations.

Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah and Arsenal’s rising star Bukayo Saka are the other Premier League stars heavily expected to receive sufficient votes to receive spots in the TOTY.

Among the Women's nominees, numerous England and Spain internationals have gained recognition for their outstanding performances in the World Cup and domestic leagues. Besides that, Chelsea's Australian star Sam Kerr and the current Women’s Super League top-scorer, Khadija Shaw from Manchester City, have also received nominations.

When Will EA FC 24 Team of the Year Voting Start?

EA Sports has scheduled the EA FC 24 Team of the Year voting to kick off on January 8, 2024, at 8 am PT / 11 am ET / 4 pm GMT / 5 pm CET. This year's TOTY will mark a historic moment as it introduces squads for both men and women, a first in the promotion's history. In previous years, we have seen the TOTY cards arriving within one week of the voting. The cards were released gradually before unveiling the full XI. EA Sports is yet to confirm, however, that it will continue the same release pattern this year.

Other than the TOTY XI, there could be TOTY Icons and TOTY Honourable Mentions offerings. We expect EA Sports to announce them soon.
