Last night we saw the first qualifier for HusKerrs’ $300K Warzone tournament, here’s how Zlaner & Aydan took the first place prize
HusKerrs’ Howl is a new Warzone tournament ran by popular Twitch streamer, Jordan “HusKerrs” Thomas. The tournament series will span over two weekends and see the top eight teams from previous qualifiers enter the Main Event for their slice of $300K. Zlaner & Aydan took the first Qualifier, taking down favorites Tommey & Rated in the final. Here’s how they managed it.
Zlaner & Aydan’s Road to Victory
They started in round one taking on another exceptional team, LuckyChamu & AverageJoewo. Zlaner & Aydan narrowly won game one 26-24, however they absolutely stomped game two winning 35-14. This allowed them to progress into round two where they would face off against Call of Duty League professionals, Scump & Formal.
Zlaner & Aydan took a 1-0 headstart with a solid 29-12 game one victory. Scump & Formal fought back in game two, however, their 19-19 draw wasn't enough and Zlaner & Aydan progressed on overall kills. Round three was against the tournament host and another favorite, HusKerrs and Symfuhny. The performance from Zlaner & Aydan was too dominant, winning 31-20 and 29-18 to secure their place in the Winners Finals against SuperEvan & DiazBiffle.
SuperEvan & DiazBiffle started off strong with a 48-44 game one victory, however, Zlaner & Aydan came back strong in game two to win 29-7. This was enough to get them over the line and into the Grand Finals, securing their place in the Main Event and winning a minimum of $15,000.
In the Grand Final, they were too strong for Tommey and Rated. Winning 34-28 and 13-12 they became winners of HusKerrs Howl Qualifier #1. This win bagged them $30,000 and a place in the Main Event on November 7.
From the first qualifier, the top three teams plus HusKerrs get through to the main event. This means that Zlaner & Aydan, Tommey & Rated, SuperEvan & DiazBiffle and Symfuhny & HusKerrs have secured their spot. Qualifier #2 takes place on November 5, with Qualifier #3 on November 6th and the Main Event on the 7.
