CoD: Fan Favorite Map Set To Return Following Black Ops Cold War Leaks

Black Ops 2’s Raid could be returning in Black Ops Cold War, as it's been spotted in the files recently.

Black Ops 2 is generally seen as one of the best Call of Duty games ever. Since its release eight years ago, we’ve seen some remastered maps such as Slums and Standoff, however, fan-favorite Raid is yet to appear in another edition of the franchise.

Popular Black Ops Cold War leaker @BlackOpsLeaks revealed on Twitter how “s1_mp_rain_tu_cairo” is in the game files, and could be referencing the return of the map.

Raid quickly became a fan-favorite due to its excellent map design, allowing for close and long-range engagements. This also led to it being one of the best competitive maps in the game, and given the lack of Black Ops Cold War maps as of release, we could see it introduced to the map pool of the 2021 Call of Duty League season.

One interesting factor of this leak is that the code references Cairo. Of course, Cairo is the capital of Egypt, however, Raid is set in Los Angeles. So if we do see Raid make a return, it may be set in a different location and look slightly different from the map we know and love.
