EUnited took down Gen.G Esports to claim the top spot at CWL Miami.
The EUnited squad, which includes CWL fan-favorite James “Clayster” Eubanks, finally came out on top at a CWL event. EUnited made their way through the Winners Bracket of the CWL Miami Playoffs and defeated Gen.G Esports in a second best-of-five Grand Final.
After an incredible 2019 season, @eunited are your official #CWLFinals champions!

The first best-of-five saw Gen.G Esports handily defeat EUnited 3-0. The second, however, saw EUnited bounce back in a huge way, claiming a 3-0 sweep of their own. A technical issue marred the first series and forced a Map 1 replay, but it’s impossible to tell if that affected Gen.G’s composure at all.
James “Clayster” Eubanks expressed his happiness on Twitter after the match:
I can’t stop crying

Afterward, Eubanks noted how it was almost 1,400 days since he had won a championship and said he was happy to reset that counter to zero after EUnited's win in Miami.
EUnited will next take the stage at the Call of Duty World League 2019 Championship. The event will take place from August 16 to August 18 in Los Angeles, CA.
