LA Thieves 3-0 Minnesota ROKKR
The LA Thieves looked like the better team all around coming into this match, and they showed this with a 250-205 Hydro Hardpoint map one victory. This was a very competitive map for the first round of rotations, however the LA Thieves started to run away with it and kept their lead throughout the second half, with a big 30 kills and a 1.36 K/D from Octane as the LA Thieves took a 1-0 lead in this series.
The LA Thieves extended their lead in the series to 2-0 with a 6-3 Hotel Search and Destroy victory. Yet again, Minnesota ROKKR just looked lost on the map, with all of their players playing at different paces, and even suffering a 3v1 in this map 2. Envoy topped the leaderboard with 8 kills, however this was a well played map from the whole team as the Thieves looked to end this series in a sweep. The LA Thieves closed out the series in a quick 3-0 sweep with a 3-1 Hotel Control victory. This was a close map in the slaying, however the team cohesion and the clutch plays from LA Thieves was the main system behind their victory in this map.
Los Angeles Guerrillas 3-1 Las Vegas Legion
In a series that defines the winners bracket for both teams, the Las Vegas Legion started off strong with a 250-238 Mercado Hardpoint win. This was an extremely close map, however Las Vegas Legion came back from an early deficit to claw back points, and eventually close out the map. 2Real was the only member of the Legion to go positive in this map as they took a 1-0 lead in the series. The Los Angeles Guerrillas tied up the series 1-1 with a 6-2 El Asilo Search and Destroy victory. This was not as close of a map as the first, and after a lengthy mid map delay, the Guerrillas remained composed and closed out the map.
Las Vegas Legion should have a 2-1 lead in this series, however after taking down all four members of the Guerrillas and just two ticks left on the B point to get, Vegas froze and seemed to have no idea of what to do. This led to them getting individually picked off, and resulted in them losing the Fortress Control 3-2. Assault dominated on the side of the Los Angeles Guerrillas with 33 kills, however this was a map that should've gone the way of the Las Vegas Legion.
Another map fumbled by the Las Vegas Legion saw the Los Angeles Guerrillas take the fourth map of the series with a 250-243 victory. This was yet again another situation where the Las Vegas Legion looked in prime position to close out the map and send us to a map five, but a great chain of hills saw the Guerrillas come back, and take the series 3-1.
London Royal Ravens 3-2 Toronto Ultra
The London Royal Ravens seem to come close to a win in every map, but just cant close it out. That wasn't the case in map one in this series, as they were completely dominated by Toronto Ultra in a 250-157 Mercado Hardpoint. Skrapz was the only player to go positive on the side of the Royal Ravens, while CleanX and Scrappy topped the leaderboard on the side of Toronto Ultra, both putting up 27 kills as they took a 1-0 series lead. The London Royal Ravens tied the series 1-1 with a 6-4 Hotel Search and Destroy victory in map two. This was a great map from the Ravens, however it was Asim who topped the leaderboard with 11 kills, and an ace in the game to get the Ravens their first map in this series.
Toronto Ultra dominated the next map, taking a 3-1 El Asilo Control victory to give Toronto Ultra a 2-1 lead in the series. This was an even map in the slaying, however Toronto’s teamwork prevailed as they went up in the series, The slaying was not even in the following map, as the London Royal Ravens outslayed by 19 kills in a 250-232 Fortress Hardpoint map four. Given the slaying numbers, this map should’ve been closed out much earlier by the Ravens. Regardless, they clutched up and closed out the map, sending us all the way to a map five.
The London Royal Ravens completely dominated the final map of this series, taking a 6-2 Fortress Search and Destroy victory to close out the series. A big 11 kills yet again in the Search and Destroy from Asim saw him top the leaderboard, and finally saw the London Royal Ravens clutch up, and close out a series when needed.
New York Subliners 3-0 OpTic Texas
The New York Subliners came out hot in this series with a 250-199 Embassy Hardpoint victory to kick off this series. However, this was a map that should’ve gone the way of OpTic Texas, Huke dominated the map with 32 kills, but OpTic Texas were so easily broken throughout the entire map which led to a defeat, and a 0-1 score in the series. The New York Subliners extended their lead in the series to 2-0 with a 6-5 Fortress Search and Destroy victory. Kismet dominated the early rounds, earning a streak which he held on the final round which allowed him to gain vital info for the squad. This saw them take the round 11, and go up 2-0 in the series.
The New York Subliners closed out the series with a 3-2 Fortress Control victory. This was yet again a close map as all have been in this series, but with five defensive wins in a row, it was no surprise that this went the way of the New York Subliners has they had the defensive side for round five here.
