Major 3 Bounty Week is here, and we have a recap of every match.
The Call of Duty League continues the qualifiers for Major 3 with a brand new idea, Bounty Week. Bounty Week puts $10K on the line in some of the qualifying matches this week, giving teams an even bigger incentive to win theory matches heading into the Major. The first Bounty match began with the Boston Breach taking on the London Royal Ravens. Here’s everything that went down on day one of Bounty Week.

Boston Breach 3-1 London Royal Ravens
The London Royal Ravens were previously winless in Hardpoint during Major 3 qualifiers, but that changed in this series. Their first Hardpoint win in their previous seven matches came in a 250-176 victory on Gavutu. Afro looked exceptional in this match, getting in the face of the Boston Breach and breaking their setups, while they also held the points and rotated perfectly to take a strong lead and eventually the map.
A 2-0 lead seemed inevitable as London took a 5-0 lead in this Search and Destroy on Berlin. However, Capsidal went on a streak to earn a glide bomb as Boston made the run back to 5-5. While the glide bomb was called in, it didn't give much info but it wasn't needed as Nero broke into the sight and got two kills to clutch up for the Boston Breach and complete the full sail to tie the series 1-1.
Nero seemed to have London’s number in this series as he continued his incredible performance from the Search and Destroy, pulling off some incredible multi-kills in the Control as an easy 3-0 sweep came through from the Boston Breach. Nero may not have had the highest K/D on the roster, but the multi-kills were extremely influential on the map. Overall, this killed all momentum from the Ravens, and it looked like a tough road back into the series in the following Tuscan Hardpoint.
With no momentum, the Ravens looked defeated as soon as the fourth map started. Boston Breach dominated in the slaying, with TJHaly and Nero both putting up 28 kills, while London’s top slayer Afro managed just 18. Boston didn't look like losing a single gunfight following the reverse sweep and took the series 3-1.
Minnesota ROKKR 3-2 Toronto Ultra
Toronto Ultra’s Hardpoint has been improving recently, and tonight they proved that the calm and collected roster can thrive in the chaos of Bocage with a 250-226 victory. When Insight dominates, Toronto Ultra dominates. His 33 kills and 1.43 K/D saw him be one of the highest fraggers on the map with his AR, and led Ultra to a 1-0 lead in the series. Ultra picked up a 2-0 lead in the series through a 6-3 Berlin Search and Destroy win, where CleanX really showed up. While the rest of the Toronto Ultra team went negative, CleanX put up 15 kills, the same number as the total of Bance, Cammy and Insight put together.
However, as Toronto Ultra looked dominant, Minnesota ROKKR denied the 3-0 sweep through a 3-1 Tuscan Hardpoint victory. It was an exceptionally well-rounded performance from Minnesota ROKKR as they all put up between 25 and 27 kills to get themselves back in the series. Map four was completely down to Havok. While he suffered in the first two maps, map three and four he dominated. In this Tuscan Hardpoint, Havok put up 41 kills, with 31 of those being untraded. An exceptional statline that saw ROKKR tie the series, and force a game five.
Here, Minnesota ROKKR and Havok continued to dominate. Havok went 13/7 in the game five, putting up a 1.86 K/D and finishing the series with a 1.15 overall after sitting on a 0.6 K/D after the first two maps. ROKKR completed the reverse sweep, and are currently 3-0 in Major 3 Qualifiers.
Florida Mutineers 3-1 Los Angeles Guerrillas
The Florida Mutineers may be one of the most inconsistent teams in the Call of Duty League, and with Gunless back in the starting lineup of the Los Angeles Guerrillas, no one knew what to expect from this series. The Mutineers started strong however with a 250-230 Gavutu Hardpoint victory. Vivid was the main slayer, using the Automaton to his advantage as he put up 28 kills, 8 more than the next highest total in the lobby to give his team a 1-0 series lead.
A close-fought map two went the way of the Los Angeles Guerrillas as they clutched up in round 11 to tie the series 1-1. However, Skyz took over in the Gavutu Control as he went 22/8 putting up a 2.75 K/D as the Florida Mutineers took a 2-1 series lead. Finally, the series was closed out in a 250-168 Tuscan Hardpoint to see Florida win 3-1 and take the $10K Bounty.
