London Royal Ravens 3-1 Boston Breach
Both the London Royal Ravens and Boston Breach have dominated throughout the Major 2 Qualifiers. However, one had to suffer a loss here. The London Royal Ravens started hot, taking a 250-203 Gavutu Hardpoint win. In this map, all the Ravens went positive, outslaying Boston by 18 kills and starting the series on the front foot. The Royal Ravens dominated the start of map two, taking a 5-0 lead on Bocage Search and Destroy. While Boston began to make a comeback, Afro dropped 14 kills with a 2.80 K/D and stopped their comeback, securing a 6-3 win.
The map three Control completely flipped the momentum, with Boston Breach taking a 3-1 win and giving the Ravens no chance on the map. Methodz finished the map 32/14 with a 2.29 K/D as the Breach kept themselves in the series. However, a tightly contested Hardpoint on Berlin went the way of the Royal Ravens, but only just with a 250-225 win. This saw London take down Boston Breach, and look great heading into the Major.
OpTic Texas 3-0 Atlanta FaZe
Atlanta FaZe announced that Simp would be sitting this match out due to illness, with Prestinni subbing in for the series. Unsurprisingly, OpTic Texas took full advantage of this and completed a quick 3-0 sweep over FaZe. They began the series confidently, and while they found themselves around 60 points down at the halfway mark, OpTic pulled through and won the map 250-174 on Gavutu. Scump and iLLeY were dominant, putting up 1.69 and 1.56 K/D’s respectively.
The Search and Destroy on Tuscan went the distance, but it was OpTic Texas who clutched up in round 11 and took a 2-0 series lead. The 3-0 sweep was completed through a 3-1 Control win on Gavutu, with OpTic outslaying Atlanta FaZe by 16 kills. iLLeY was the star performer throughout the whole series, finishing with a 1.36 K/D and 11 kills more than the next highest on OpTic with his 60.
New York Subliners 3-1 Toronto Ultra
The New York Subliners have looked like a completely different team since the addition of PaulEhx to the roster. They kicked off this series with a 250-113 Berlin Hardpoint win, here, the entire roster went positive as they outslayed Ultra by a massive 31 kills, continuing their newfound Hardpoint success. Toronto Ultra replied in map two and tied the series 1-1 with a 6-3 Search and Destroy win on Desert Siege. The SMG duo of Bance and CleanX were dominant here, putting up 2.50 and 1.67 K/D’s respectively.
The New York Subliners pulled off yet another map win in the Control, winning it 3-2 on Tuscan and taking a 2-1 lead in the series. NYSL completed the series win with their fourth Hardpoint win in a row, winning 250-225 on Gavutu. The Subliners are looking better than ever heading into Major 2, and could be extremely dangerous.
