Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 cross-gen concerns have been addressed as the developers confirmed PS4 and Xbox One availability
While we continue to advance through the present console era, a growing array of studios are forsaking the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Yet, Activision is bucking this trend by making sure that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 remains accessible to players on the older console platforms.
Hmm, I wonder how long this will last. Obviously Activision will support the PS4 & Xbox One as long as they can, given the massive install bases of those consoles. But sooner or later they have to move forward. I'm guessing at least 1 more year after this.https://t.co/jR8Bcy3OUG

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Crossgen Uncertainties Debunked
An IGN report has shed light on the origins of this puzzling scenario, attributing it to TheGamingRevolution, a well-known content producer focused on Call of Duty. The confusion stemmed from their tweet on August 10, featuring an image sourced from the Microsoft store, which seemed to suggest that MW3 would only run on the Xbox Series X|S.

This development triggered uncertainty, especially considering that only a few days prior, PlayStation had shared an MW3 trailer on its YouTube channel, titled “Modern Warfare III – is Coming | PS5 & PS4 Games.”
The IGN report reveals that the Xbox website has been updated after the picture was tweeted. Now the website states that Modern Warfare 3 will be Xbox One compatible.
Modern Warfare 3: What to Expect?
While details about MW3 remain scarce, one thing is certain: the iconic villain Makarov will return to challenge players once again, evoking a sense of nostalgia. The grand unveiling of MW3 is set to take place during a Warzone event scheduled for August 17.
