Changes are on the horizon for the next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare League event.
After a shaky start, despite popularity over streaming, the Call of Duty League announced via Twitter this week a few new rule changes for future Modern Warfare events.
CDL rules changes that will go into effect Monday, Feb 17:
Search & Destroy – Round Time Limit: 1:30 (from 2:00)
Domination – Round Time limit: 5 minutes (from 6 minutes)

For now, these changes are permanent, with the regulations going into effect next Monday, Feb 17th. Search & Destroy, a fan favorite round for most amateur players, will officially have a round time limit of 1:30 – 2:00. This is a change of pace for the league, and these new rules are without a doubt to ensure a decrease in time-wasting, as well as increase tension between professional Call of Duty players.
But that’s not all! There will be more changes going into effect next Monday, this time for upcoming rounds of team Domination. Each “Round Time limit” will be five minutes, cutting down a minute from the standard six-minute Domination sessions.
In short, the games are still the same but time adjustments will surely be a different change of pace for future fans and seasoned professionals. Let’s hope Modern Warfare cuts down on making changes and keeps up the good fight of delivering what the fans want (on time).
