Call of Duty League: Florida Team Officially Unveils Name, Logo and GM

Florida's Call of Duty Franchise is officially called the Florida Mutineers.

Say hello to the Call of Duty League’s latest scurvy scallywags, the Florida Mutineers! Misfits Gaming Group, owners of the Florida-based franchise of the Call of Duty League, just unveiled their team’s name and their Kraken-based logo today for the world to see.

In addition to that, we got to know who’s at the helm: the General Manager was revealed to be Halo legend Tom “OGRE2” Ryan. He had the following to say regarding the team:

“The Florida Mutineers are all about doing things differently than the rest, and we’re proud of that… It’s very exciting to be one of the first 12 teams in the new Call of Duty League and we’re here to make our mark and show the world what Florida has to offer. We’ve got an incredibly talented roster that we’ll be sharing next month, and there’ll be more updates to follow. This is just the beginning.”

The Florida Mutineers is the third franchised team and second Florida-based team for Misfits Gaming Group. MGG also owns and operates the Florida Mayhem for Blizzard’s Overwatch League, and uses the Misfits Gaming brand for Riot Games’ League of Legends European Championship. We’ll have to wait until next month to see who’s on the roster for the Florida Mutineers, but that roster will determine if they’ll be able to sail the seven seas or if they’ll be condemned to Davy Jones’ Locker.
