Boston Breach has made a great addition to their 2023 CDL roster.
Boston Breach joined the Call of Duty League last year following the merger of OpTic Gaming and Envy, which saw the creation of OpTic Texas. In their first year as an organization, Boston Breach took over the CDL, hosting a Challengers LAN during Major 4, and qualifying for Champs. In 2023, Boston will host a Major event, the second of the year following the Major 1 Pro-Am, and fans will be excited with the new addition to their roster for the Modern Warfare 2 season.
Owakening Joins Boston Breach
From southeast to northeast, Joseph “Owakening” Conley joins Boston Breach following two seasons with the Florida Mutineers. Owakening burst into the Call of Duty League during the 2020 Modern Warfare season and began his career with back-to-back chips in the Week 9 and Week 10 Home Series events. Since then, Owakening has been a remarkably consistent player for the Mutineers, but makes his move to Boston for 2023.
An Unchanged Trio
Anthony “Methodz” Zinni, Dylan “Nero” Koch and Reece “Vivid” Drost return for a second season with Boston Breach. This trio performed to the top of their game last season, with Nero especially having a standout rookie year. His game was only improved by the addition of Vivid to the starting lineup halfway through the season, and this SMG duo challenged the best in the League, beating them on most occasions.
Methodz continues to be a standout AR player, with some highly consistent performances in 2022. However, he is also a great personality and brings much more to Boston Breach than just great gameplay in the League.
As for the substitute role, it is rumored that Beans will be joining Breach for 2023. After a great year on Toronto Ultra Academy EU, Beans is more than deserving of a shot in the League, and it would be great to see him on stage sometime throughout the year.
