The month of March saw the release of many major titles, such as Dragon's Dogma 2, and some truly amazed critics. For this reason, here is a ranking of the best games March 2024.

Unicorn Overlord

From the smart people who made 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and Odin Sphere, ATLUS and Vanillaware teamed up to bring you a new kind of cool game. It's like a story where you fight against what's supposed to happen and go on a big adventure to become king again, with your friends by your side. Unicorn Overlord mixes the classic strategy game style with exploring the world and a new way to fight, making it a special fantasy game in the awesome Vanillaware look.

The game managed to have excellent success thanks to both its graphics and the way of telling the story, as well as the fact that it was able to have a good amount of freedom regarding decisions. Unicorn Overlord is certainly an excellent exponent of the genre and all those who are passionate about it (but also those who are approaching this genre for the first time) should try it.

Dragon's Dogma 2

Dragon's Dogma 2 represents the return of this Capcom IP after many years of absence from the scene. Players have been clamoring for the return of this series for years and Capcom has finally decided to listen to them. Dragon's Dogma 2 brings back everything that was good in the first chapter of the series, trying to elevate it and make it current with the times.

Among the advantages of this game are certainly the great freedom that is given to players to tackle the game missions (there can be multiple outcomes for the same mission; it depends on how you decide to tackle it), the presence of the Pawns who guide you throughout of your adventure, and of the well-thought-out boss fights that manage to keep the player's attention even when it comes to the gameplay aspect alone.

Berserk Boy

Berserk Boy is a super fast and exciting game tied to the platformer and metroidvania genres. It's like a puzzle game where you explore a big world and find cool stuff. The game looks really cool, with colorful and fancy pixel pictures. Get ready to go crazy with power in Berserk Boy, as you can become different things and use lightning, fire, ice, air, and earth powers to rescue the planet.

A little overlooked due to the great titles that dominated the month of March (even if they didn't always manage to live up to expectations), Berserk Boy is actually a very good game and should be tried. If you love old-fashioned platformers and metroidvanias, this game is definitely for you.

Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story

Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story isn't really a game, but it is an interactive documentary where you can follow in Jeff Minter's footsteps and see what was in his mind when he decided to publish some of his games. Younger people may not know him, but Jeff Minter was definitely a man who changed the video game industry with games like Gridrunner, Revenge of the Mutant Camels, Tempest 2000, and Llamatron.

If you are curious to take a dive into the past and into his mind, Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story is definitely a “game” suitable for you. But also, if you are curious to know some more news about the past of gaming and to see where we started to get to what we have today. It is definitely an educational experience that we recommend anyone to do.

We close the ranking of the best games of March with WWE 2k24. Like every year, when it comes to WWE, we find ourselves faced with a product that manages, for better or worse, to always meet expectations and not disappoint its community of fans. However, it is a game that hardly has any appeal outside of those who follow wrestling.

In any case, if you want to get started in this discipline, WWE 2k24 is an excellent starting point. The game is solid and critics have not pointed out such obvious problems. If you are a fan of the genre, however, you will find yourself faced with a product very similar to the one you are used to, so you will surely already know what you are getting into.
