Atlanta FaZe vs Boston Breach could decide if the team of Breach makes it to the CDL Championship at the end of the year.
There’s only one weekend left from the Call of Duty League 2023 Stage 5 Qualifiers! OpTic Texas is still flawless, sitting at the top with a 4-0 standing, while Atlanta FaZe trails them with 3 wins and 1 loss. But after the team of Tiny Terrors, there seems to be stalemate between Boston Breach, New York Subliners and Toronto Ultra – and Breach has the chance to take the lead if they can beat FaZe.

Atlanta FaZe vs Boston Breach Preview
Atlanta FaZe
The most popular and most decorated team of professional Call of Duty, Atlanta FaZe has had a great start to this Stage of the CDL. While they couldn’t put a dent in OpTic Texas’ armour in the first week, losing 0-3 to them, they annihilated Los Angeles Guerrillas and Las Vegas Legion. Their last match was against the London Royal Ravens, and while they dropped a map, that Hotel Control was just barely clutched by the last European team remaining in the Call of Duty League.
Chris “Simp” Lehr and co are now preparing for their last match of the Qualifiers – can they end on a high note?
Boston Breach
Breach has two matches left, as they’ll play the New York Subliners after Atlanta FaZe in the last match of the last Qualifiers of this year. They don’t have a bad track record, as they managed to defeat Minnesota RØKKR 3-1, and blew Florida Mutineers out of the water at the start of week 2. However, Ben “Beans” McMellon and his teammates weren’t able to get the best of Seattle Surge, and Surge is not looking that hot – could this be an implication that they won’t be a match for FaZe?
Luckily for Breach, they can’t afford to mind such implications. They are currently sitting at the 7th place of the Season Standings with 180 points, tied with Seattle, but ahead of RØKKR by 20 points. This puts them at a safe spot in terms of Champs, but they still need to get every victory if they want to make it to the final of the Season.
Atlanta FaZe vs Boston Breach Predictions
Even though Atlanta FaZe is one of the strongest teams of the Call of Duty League, Boston Breach have managed to surprise them once this season: in the Stage 1 Qualifiers, Beans and co. beat Simp’s team 3-1 – and they almost bested them in the Stage 2 Major, which FaZe managed to win later on, taking them to the 5th match of the series.
Breach also has a much better track record on Control than FaZe, as they won 21 matches out of 34 played, while FaZe has a 21-22 W/L ratio in this gamemode. However, FaZe is a monster on Search and Destroy, which is not the strongest mode of Breach. One things for sure, this match will be for the ages – you don’t want to miss it!
