The newest Wild Rift patch 3.4 debuts Yone and Gwen to the Rift, and introduces a host of new features and game modes.


With buffs to Yasuo, Varus and Jayce, the newest Wild Rift patch includes a slew of balance changes, countless adjustments and a massive Yuumi rework. Tristan and Sion receive nerfs, while several items get removed and replaced by better or more competitive ones.

Wild Rift Patch 3.4 Duel 1v1 Mode Explained

The Power Spike ‘22 update introduces a new ARAM Game Mode, called Duel. All champions are unlocked on Howling Abyss, with each player starting with 500g. Players will be given a random champion to begin with. In order to claim victory the player must either kill the enemy champion TWICE before the shrinking circle appears. Kill the enemy champion ONCE after the shrinking circle appears, and destroy the first enemy turret.

There will be a shrinking circle: Spawns 8 minutes into the game. The initial radius of the shrinking circle will cover the whole map. It will wait 30s ,then will begin shrinking. The circle will complete shrinking at 9 minutes and 30s and the final radius is 5 meters. There will be continuous damage once the player is outside of the circle. Once the shrinking circle appears, the next death by a champion will result in ending the game for the killer’s victory. Recalling to the fountain will allow the player to purchase items. Also, gold and experience generation are increased.

Wild Rift Patch Notes 3.4 Gameplay Changes

Many support items from the game’s PC version make their way to the game, and as a result, are speculated to leave quite an impact on the current meta. The latest update also targets a list of AP items, along with introducing a slew of new impactful meta-shifting items. Riot’s Wild Rift team has also removed many existing items within the game, in favour of the new items that fulfil the developer’s intent of diversifying the current meta.

Wild Rift Patch 3.4 Quality of Life Updates

Ping System
The developers have received feedback that sometimes pings are difficult to use, and as a result, they’re adding a new optional ping system. The aiming and targeting of it is different from what the game currently has and this new system is something that the players would be able to opt into.

Kill Banner Updates
Currently, players who get the final blow on killing a foe get the credit for the kill with a banner, but very often their teammates help them get these kills by setting up the play or assisting them in some way. This patch also includes assisting champion icons alongside the kill banners!

Loadout System Updates
Players would now be granted more slots for items when building your custom loadouts. In game, they’ll be able to view the complete loadout in the shop and see the order that they placed the items in. Players would also be able to change out any of the items in the loadout if they require because of the team comp or champion you’re up against.

When is Wild Rift Patch 3.4 Releasing?

The massive Wild Rift Power Spike update is scheduled to hit live servers on Thursday, September 15 at Noon PT.
