The 2019 World Championship Theme, after long last, has finally been released! It's titled "Phoenix" and features Cailin Russe and Chrissy Constanza as vocalists, but has IG Rookie, G2 Caps and SKT Faker in the video itself. The song is another chilling and inspirational one, similar to that of last year's Rise. There have been a lot of memes about the Worlds theme not being released for so long, as the Play-In stage has just finished after around two weeks now. But LoL fans can breathe a sigh of relief now.

The video's message roughly pertains to overcoming your past failures and reaching new peaks. With such compelling stories as the three main players have, it's hard not to be moved by this cinematic and metaphorical battle.

The song was actually first leaked by For You Music on YouTube, so it's possible the video wasn't meant to be released yet. But Riot acted quickly and released the official version just a short while after. It's all the more curious considering that they already waited past the Play-In stage to release it, so it would've made sense to debut it at a more exciting time.

Regardless of the circumstances, this year's Worlds song is fantastic. It definitely does justice to Riot's yearly tradition and will have many fans playing on repeat for weeks.
