The big news heading into this game is coming out of Houston with Davis Mills being dropped as starting quarterback and Kyle Allen coming in to replace him. There had been a reasonable amount of expectation on Mills at the start of this year but it simply hasn’t happened for the Texans and Mills has been a key component of that failure. Mills’ rating sits at a lowly 78.1 and he’s been picked off more times than anyone else. Allen will have his work cut out to be the most talked about QB in this game though. Tua Tagovailoa has been sensational for Miami this season and he’s exceeded expectations to the point where he is a genuine MVP contender.

With all that noted, it would be a lie to pin the respective failure and success of these teams on one player. Not many on the Texans can hold their head high based on what they’ve produced this season – the one exception to that arguably being Dameon Pierce, who ranks in the top 10 for both rushing attempts and yards. The Dolphins meanwhile might be well orchestrated by Tagovailoa but their offense has been stacked with good performances. Tyreek Hill has over 1,100 receiving yards to his name, Jaylen Waddle has nearly 900 and Raheem Mostert has been a consistent threat on the rush as well. Really, when you consider general form alongside the polar opposite way the teams sit in each of their respective divisions, this is really quite the mismatch. Can the Dolphins crank the pressure on the Bills in the AFC East or will the Texans grab just a second win of the season?
