Rams vs Saints Odds, Spread, Preview: NFL Week 11 Predictions

Rams vs Saints matchup preview and current betting lines

The Los Angeles Rams have been one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL this season. But if any team has enough talent to turn this thing around in the final stretch of the campaign, that’s definitely them, even without Cooper Kupp.

The Rams will have Matthew Stafford back under center for this game after a one-game absence and a disastrous performance by John Wolford. Hopefully, he’ll be back to the level he displayed last season rather than this year’s dismal play.

Dennis Allen might finally realize that Andy Dalton cannot play in the National Football League, at least not as a starter. The game is way more entertaining when Jameis Winston is on the field, even though that doesn’t always translate into wins.

But the New Orleans Saints still have a shot at making the playoffs as long as they move on from Dalton. The Red Riffle continues to hold them back week in and week out, and there’s only so much their solid defense can do.

Players to watch:

Matthew Stafford: As we previously mentioned, Matthew Stafford will be back after missing one game with a concussion. He had been nursing multiple injuries, so maybe that week off was what he needed to get back on track.

Chris Olave: Chris Olave entered the season as one of the highest-ranked WR prospects, and he hasn’t disappointed us in the slightest thus far. Even with Dalton as his QB, the rookie out of Ohio State has been quite a treat to watch.

Week 11 Predictions: NFL Bet of the week on Rams vs Saints

Rams +3

The opening Rams vs Saints spread has the home side favored by three points. That speaks volumes as to just how terrible the Los Angeles Rams have been this season. Nonetheless, this might be a case of the wrong team being favored.

Sean McVay vowed to make adjustments and be better going forward, and he’s one of the best young minds in the game. More than that, a loss vs. the Saints could put the last nail in their season’s coffin, so they’ll need to bring their A-game.

Losing Cooper Kupp for the year could end up being a blessing in disguise. The Rams’ offense has been dead in the water, mostly because of poor OL play. But now, Stafford will have no choice but to spread the wealth and get all his teammates involved.

The New Orleans Saints defense will make Stafford run for his life on every dropback. But Andy Dalton won’t be able to play catchup with the Rams’ high-octane offense, assuming Stafford is back to full strength.

Over 39

The opening Rams vs Saints odds have this game sitting at just 39 points, which seems abysmal, to say the least. Yes, the Los Angeles Rams have been brutal over the past couple of weeks, but they should fare much better in the dome.

Also, it’s not like the Rams’ once-great defense has been able to get that many stops. They’ve given up multiple big plays this season, and a date with the likes of Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara won’t make things easier for them.

Even with Dalton under center, Dennis Allen’s team has been able to put up points on the scoreboard, and you know the defense will get some key turnovers in the opposition’s field. They’ll score at least 17-to-20 points in this matchup.

There has been plenty of rumbling about the Rams and Stafford getting Allen Robinson more involved in the offense, and that could only mean trouble for the defense. So, there’s no way this game doesn’t go over the 39-point plateau.
