Our main Preakness Stakes best bets for Saturday

Now it’s time for the most exciting part – our Preakness expert picks which have come to fruition thanks to plenty of research. Without wasting any more time, let us jump right into it:

Epicenter to win

Looking at the Preakness Stakes lineup and the associated odds, we have reached the conclusion that Epicenter is the best call for the moneyline market. This horse has been truly formidable in recent times, and he was so close to winning the Kentucky Derby just a couple of weeks back. He has odds of +120 at most sportsbooks. So if you plan on betting on Preakness markets by going for the most likely winner, this has to be it.

Secret Oath to place / each way

Although we think that Epicenter will win, Secret Oath certainly has the potential to push him all the way. The last three races for this horse have resulted in a Grade One win, a third-place finish in another Grade One, and a Grade Three win. His odds have moved to +450 recently too, but this is for the win. So for us, it’s better to back him as a place or an each-way bet.

Simplification to place / each way

The last of our Preakness Stakes best bets is for Simplification to place. Alternatively, you could back an each-wager for him too. This horse has participated in four races since February, including two Grade Ones, a Grade Two, and a Grade Three. He has failed to place in just one of these races too, which was the Kentucky Derby at the start of May. So really, he is more than capable of grabbing a top-three place once more on Saturday.
