With that said, most of the information relating to these areas has only just been made publicly available. So our goal here is to provide you with the most recent updates regarding the Preakness 2022 draw and what impact it might have on the main event.
But before we do, we’d like to stress that any bets you’d like to make should be placed at TVG – the main partner for the 2022 Preakness Stakes. There is also a $200 risk-free bet at this site too!
The Preakness Winning Post Positions and Their Impact
The Preakness post positions have been announced, and the respective odds for the various Preakness favorites have been adjusted accordingly. With that said, let us run through details of these Preakness post positions for the top four favorites. Of course, we’ve provided the odds for each horse too, as detailed here:
Epicenter – Gate 8
After the Preakness draw was made, it was announced that Epicenter would take gate 8 at the starting line. This puts him on the outside, so a fast start is necessary, especially with the left-swinging track. However, as a powerful horse, most sportsbooks still have him down as the favorite, with +120 odds.
Bet on Belmont Stakes >Early Voting – Gate 5
This horse is the second favorite to take the win in the 2022 Preakness Stakes. He has been given gate 5, which puts him right in the middle of the pack. Given that this is very much a neutral position, the odds haven’t fluctuated all that much since the Preakness draw was made. And he is still boasting odds of +350.
Secret Oath – Gate 4
Secret Oath is a potential underdog winner for the Preakness tomorrow. And with odds of +450, many punters are drawn to this market with good reason. Being placed in gate 4 is also a good position for the filly. It will be interesting to see how Secret Oath and Early Voting battle for space at the beginning too.
Simplification – Gate 1
The fourth and final horse we have to highlight here is Simplification. He was a 4th place finisher in the Kentucky Derby. And with other horses dropping out for the event tomorrow, his odds have shifted to +600. The Preakness draw has placed Simplification in gate 1 too, which is an advantage going into the turns.
