NFL Picks and Top Predictions Available

The Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs is upon us and we will give you all the winning bets on the spread right here:

Las Vegas Raiders at Cincinnati Bengals (-5.5)

The Bengals will be well-rested this week after having key players sit out the game vs the Browns. With the Raiders, the situation is quite the opposite. They played their hardest game to date and won the playoff berth in OT against the Chargers. Bet on the fresher team to advance.

Pick: Bengals -5.5 with Caesars

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills (-4.0)

The Bills are favored here and for a good reason. They won convincingly in New England 2 weeks ago and now will be hosting their division rivals in a playoff game. The Patriots are perhaps the best-coached team in the league but there's a little bit of softness to that defense when it plays Josh Allen. This is the moment Allen will run all over them again and will take his team to the divisional round.

Pick: Buffalo Bills -4.0 with Caesars Sportsbook

Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-8.5)

Tom Brady will face the team that got him his last Super Bowl loss and there will be no mercy at Raymond James stadium for the Birds. Retribution will probably not even come from the TB offense but from the defense. Jalen Hurts struggles to throw from the pocket and this is what the Bucs will force him to do. The Eagles may have a backdoor cover, though.

Pick: Philadelphia Eagles +8.5 with BetMGM

San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys (-3.0)

The Cowboys are somehow favored in this one perhaps mainly because they rested some people in week 18 while the Niners had to claw their way to a playoff spot against division rival LA Rams. Still, we think San Francisco is the better-coached team, has players that play harder and simply got the better offensive scheme. We are taking the points.

Pick: San Francisco 49ers +3.0 with BetMGM

NFL Predictions for Today

Pittsburgh Steeles at Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5)

An incredibly lopsided spread here. Everyone thinks the Chiefs are going to cruise over the Steelers and as much as we would like to be contrarian, we can't. There's a good chance Pittsburgh goes home without even scoring 1 touchdown.

Pick: Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5) with Caesars Sportsbook

Arizona Cardinals at LA Rams (-4.0)

We are taking the points here. The teams are even in so many categories and are just as inconsistent in other categories. Rams don't have an incredible home-field advantage so we think the bookies are giving them too much respect with this line. Since it's over a field goal, we are taking it.

Pick: Arizona Cardinals +4.0 with Caesars

Understanding the NFL Odds

Before moving on to the specific bet types you should watch out for in NFL betting picks, we think that you should read this. It will help you learn the ropes especially if you are new to sports betting. In the USA, the most common style is American odds. They are either positive or negative numbers based on the notion that customers would wager $100 on the match. For example, the odds can look something like this:

  • +125
  • -125

The bookmakers usually give the higher odds to the underdog and mark them with the (+) sign. The favorites are given the negative odds and they are displayed with a (-) sign. If we follow the example above, when a customer bets on the favorite team, they have to wager $125 to win $100. Betting on the underdog is more interesting because of the higher odds, but the risk would be higher because their chances of winning are slim.

Keep in mind that if you prefer to play with decimal (2.25) or fractional (20/23) odds, you can change the style from your settings. There are various sites or apps you can use to calculate your bets if you feel that is faster and you don't understand the odds. These calculators would tell you how much you are going to receive, the total payout, odds in various styles, and even calculate the probability of the wager.
