Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls Odds Analysis

Sometimes an expected blowout is the best thing for bettors. Expectations are for Chicago to lay down since they have a barren roster. Milwaukee knows this and will have no choice but to let their foot off the gas at some point. The question is whether the line will swell too much and we’ll need to fade the public.

The last two blowouts have set the expectation and tone for another. But a rally from Chicago that slows the game down like Game 2 can’t be ignored either. Let’s break it all down with predictions below.

Bucks -10 (-110)

I’m guessing this line will get to as high as 13 on some books. I would fade that number if it does. Zach LaVine is a great scorer but hasn’t been especially noteworthy in this series. Chicago will fight to the end and still come up well short, but at some point the spread gets way too out of control for an NBA game.

The Bucks will race out to a comfortable lead through three quarters and then sit their starters in the fourth. Things will get tight late, but the Bucks still cover by double-digits. This is a home game for Milwaukee, so there’s extra incentive to get more rest without traveling one more time. 

Bet on NBA Playoffs With Caesars

Under 219 (-110)

Each of our picks are intertwined. Because the Bucks won’t need to run up the score and the Bulls just can’t get much beyond the 90-point mark, the under is a safe play. I’d be shocked if this was a high-scoring affair for both sides. Chicago would need to go nuclear from three without their two best deep shooters.

Both LaVine and Alex Caruso are out for this matchup. I’m certainly good with going against the unlikely breakout of Patrick Williams and DeMar DeRozan combining for 80 between them. That would be a bad beat.

Our Bonus Player Prop pick: Giannis Antetokounmpo Under 33.5 (-110)

There’s no reason to think Giannis will play more than about 30 minutes in this game. While he’s capable of putting up a huge game, the Bucks should look to coast as often as they can. This game should be akin to a January regular season contest where everyone goes at about 75% effort.

Chicago will play tough and with pride but eventually the talent difference will completely wipe them out. Giannis will be able to get some needed rest, and the Bucks will turn their attention towards Boston.
