Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks Game 4 Preview
Trae Young has not had a signature game yet for Atlanta in this series, but he delivered a signature moment with his game-winning shot with 4.4 seconds to go in Game 3. Jimmy Butler was unable to answer for the Heat on a game-winning three-point attempt. Both teams shot well under 40% from three on Friday, though that has been nothing new for the Hawks against this tough Miami defense. But Game 3 was the second time in seven meetings this season that the Hawks shot over 50% from the field against Miami.
The Heat were not able to hang onto a 16-point lead in the second half of Game 3. It was the third time in the last two postseasons that the Hawks came back to win a game after trailing by 16-plus points. This team is resilient, which makes Game 4 such a crucial breaking point in this series. Either the top-seeded Heat are going to pull away with a 3-1 lead or we could go the distance to a Game 7.
Common Questions for Game 4 of Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks
Like Game 3, Game 4 will be played in State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. ET this Sunday, April, 24, 2022.
Miami is a 1.5-point favorite, the smallest spread yet in the series. But the Heat continue to be favored in each game.
The over/under is once again set at 221.5 points. Game 3 finished at 221 points, so the oddsmakers clearly know what they are doing.
Injuries look like they still could favor the Heat. Center Clint Capela is likely to remain out for the Hawks while guard Kyle Lowry is optimistic he can play on Sunday after leaving Game 3 with a hamstring injury. Lowry has already compared himself to X-Men’s Wolverine, who is known for super quick healing.
