The New York Jets are fresh off one of their biggest wins in recent memory. They traveled to Lambeau Field and came back home with a huge victory, dominating them on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

Robert Saleh’s defense made life difficult for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers’ struggling defense. They forced multiple punts and avoidable mistakes and sure made the most of every change they got.

The Denver Broncos, on the other hand, were once again brutal in a primetime game. Their offense is one of the most incompetent we’ve ever seen, and Nathaniel Hackett continues to raise doubts about his ability to be a successful head coach in the NFL.

Russell Wilson got off to a solid start to the game before falling back to Earth in the second half. Once again, the Broncos were in a prime position to take home the win, but couldn’t get the job done when it mattered the most.

Breece Hall: The New York Jets have a blossoming star in Breece Hall. He’s fresh off torching the packers for 116 yards and one score in 20 rushes, adding a couple of receptions for 5 yards. He’s a tackle-breaking machine and could be elite for years to come.

Russell Wilson: Russell Wilson went 3/11 for just 15 yards in the second half and overtime of the loss to the Chargers. He reportedly tweaked his hamstring and has been battling through injuries this season, but that’s no excuse for the poor performances.

The opening Jets vs Broncos spread has the home side favored by less than a field goal. That sure makes sense, as these teams are heading in opposite directions, and the Denver Broncos have been far from the offensive juggernaut we all thought they would be this season.

The New York Jets look like a much-improved team this year. Their defense is better, they have more weapons offensively, and even though Zach Wilson is still far from impressive, he’s shown some big-play ability throughout his brief career in the league. But that may not be enough this time.

Russell Wilson is reportedly battling multiple injuries, but the Broncos just can’t afford to drop another game, especially at home. We expect them to bring a more-balanced offense and continue to trust on their elite defense to get this win, even if it’s not pretty.

This might as well be yet another low-scoring matchup with five+ punts per team and multiple turnovers. But we still like the Broncos’ chances to build off their defense and get a much-needed home win vs.  New York Jets team due for some regression in Week 7.

Under 40

The opening Jets vs Broncos odds have this game sitting at just 40 points, which makes perfect sense considering how poorly the Denver Broncos have fared this season. Wilson looks like an impostor out there, and even Jerry Jeudy and Melvin Gordon seem far from satisfied with his performances.

The Broncos look lost out there, offensively. Wilson has failed to hit wide-open receivers more often than not, and Nathaniel Hackett refuses to lean on the running game. This could be the same case when they face a New York Jets team with an elite young cornerback in Sauce Gardner, who may shut down Courtland Sutton.

The Jets, on the other hand, have found way more success putting the ball on Breece Hall’s hands rather than trusting the passing game, and that seems like a winning formula right there. Still, you know it’s just a matter of time before they give you the ball right back.

All things considered, we’re talking about two teams with stout defenses. An incompetent offense and another team that favors the running game don’t usually make up for a bunch of points. This has the makings of another 19-16 kind of game with the Broncos taking home the win.
