All games obviously carry importance but that’s especially true here as the Dolphins and the Lions do battle with the aim of getting their seasons motoring. The Dolphins arrive in much better shape than the Lions do but a recent run of three straight defeats has really took the wheels off their impressive start to the season. They stopped that rot last week with a win over the Steelers but, even so, they are trailing the Jets in the AFC East meaning a win is very much needed.

As for the Lions, they are in real desperate need of a win having only chalked up the one victory to date. Not only have they lost games but their solitary win came back in week three meaning they’re on a four game losing streak no, which will have their morale on the floor. A win here would breathe life back into their season but that will need two big things to happen. Jared Goff needs to step up and put in a good performance whilst their defence will need to bring their A game to keep Dolphins man Tua Tagovailoa under wraps.

One thing is for sure though, this game should be an entertaining game of football regardless of recent form.

Tua Tagovailoa: It feels like the lazy choice to throw Tua Tagovailoa’s name here but he is unquestionably the Dolphins’ key man. They’ve really struggled without him in the team and, it’s no coincidence that his return last week saw them get back to winning ways. Can he inspire them to another ‘W’ here?

Detroit Lions

Jared Goff: For the Lions, it’s Jared Goff who will have their performance put under the microscope. Goff has thrown at least one interception in all but one of his games this season whilst the last two games have seen him fail to record a single touchdown whilst his ratings in those games have been poor. He needs to step up here.
