Celtics vs. Heat Game 2 Prediction and How to Watch

According to the Celtics vs. Heat odds, Miami is a 4-point favorite going into Game 2 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. The Heat were a 5-point favorite in the opening game of the series and went on to win by 11. Things will be much different this time around for a couple of reasons. First, the Celtics have not lost back-to-back games in these NBA Playoffs and have found a way to bounce back always when they found themselves being a game down. Besides that, they will have Marcus Smart and Al Horford back in the lineup for Game 2. How good of defenders these two guys are, the Heat can forget about scoring even close to 118 points as they did in Game 1. The Celtics’ backup point guard Payton Pritchard has seen limited minutes in the Playoffs but has used them efficiently and with the recent performances, he has established himself as a valuable asset coming off the bench for the C’s. Pritchard shot 4-of-6 from the three-point line in the decisive game against the Bucks and opened the series against the Heat with an 18-point performance.

The Heat are still favorites to win Game 2 but another 40+ performance by Jimmy Butler in this series is pretty unlikely. With Smart back on the court, he will need to work much more for every single point and will also have a tough time guarding the Celtics backcourt. Boston sees Game 2 as a must-win and will put themselves in a situation to do so and even if they fail, they will definitely cover the 4-point spread.

When it comes to the over/under margin, it is set at 207.5 points which is 17.5 less than the Celtics and Heat scored in Game 1.
