Buccaneers vs. Cardinals NFL Week 16 Preview

In the last two weeks, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-8) have been outscored 35-0 by the 49ers and 34-0 by the Bengals in two bad losses. Tom Brady only had one game in his whole career where a team scored more than 31 unanswered points on him before these two games.

Regardless of that fact, the Buccaneers’ playoff odds only improved thanks to the Falcons and Panthers losing in the division, tying three teams at 5-9 behind Tampa Bay’s 6-8 record.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals lost another quarterback after Colt McCoy suffered a concussion in Denver. It will be third-stringer Trace McSorley making his first NFL start for the Cardinals in this game.

We’d say it might be a blowout early, but the Buccaneers have already lost 21-3 to P.J. Walker and the Panthers this year. Nothing comes easy with this Tampa Bay team this year, but McSorley is going to have to protect the ball better than he has in limited action. The Cardinals have weapons with James Conner and DeAndre Hopkins to at least make this interesting, but head coach Kliff Kingsbury is just 12-19 ATS at home in his career.
