From a pure standings perspective this game carries significant weight for both teams. The Dolphins are currently third in the AFC East with a 6-3 record as they aim to leapfrog the Jets into second place whilst the Browns sit in a similar position in the North. The notable difference there though is that they have a much harder task to track down the second placed Bengals whilst it’s also worth highlighting the fact the Browns are sat on a considerably worse record than their hosts with three wins and five defeats to their name so far this season.

Of course, all of that could change in this game as the Browns and Dolphins do battle. Most people would likely agree that this game is Miami’s to lose but, as a 6-3 record shows, they’re no unbeatable. That being said, their triple threat of Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle is yet to lose when they’ve played full games together. Locking down those three is the most vital part of this game for the Browns; based on what we’ve seen from the Browns defense so far this season, it remains to be seen whether or not they can actually do that – although Denzel Ward is due to be back after suffering concussion in early October.

Nick Chubb has put up over 100 yards in five of his games so far this season whilst he arrives here having bagged himself two touchdowns last time out. Amari Cooper and Jacoby Brisset, who has posted back to back 100+ QB ratings in the last fortnight, are more than tidy players.

Denzel Ward: If the Browns are to bag a positive result here they need to eliminate some of Tua Tagovailoa’s targets with the key player fitting that criteria being Tyreek Hill. He’ll have his work cut out but if he can organize with a teammate, it’s not an impossible task.

Tua Tagovailoa: We’ll stop just a fraction short of labelling the Dolphins as a one man team but there is no denying that Tua Tagovailoa is the one that makes this side tick. They’ve lost three games this season with all of those defeats coming with Tagovailoa sidelined. Since his return to fitness, he has thrown seven touchdowns in three games.
