Browns vs. Dolphins NFL week 10 odds, preview and current betting lines
From a pure standings perspective this game carries significant weight for both teams. The Dolphins are currently third in the AFC East with a 6-3 record as they aim to leapfrog the Jets into second place whilst the Browns sit in a similar position in the North. The notable difference there though is that they have a much harder task to track down the second placed Bengals whilst it’s also worth highlighting the fact the Browns are sat on a considerably worse record than their hosts with three wins and five defeats to their name so far this season.
Of course, all of that could change in this game as the Browns and Dolphins do battle. Most people would likely agree that this game is Miami’s to lose but, as a 6-3 record shows, they’re no unbeatable. That being said, their triple threat of Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle is yet to lose when they’ve played full games together. Locking down those three is the most vital part of this game for the Browns; based on what we’ve seen from the Browns defense so far this season, it remains to be seen whether or not they can actually do that – although Denzel Ward is due to be back after suffering concussion in early October.
Of course, the Browns have to think about trying to hurt the Dolphins as well as trying to stop their game. Do they have the players to inflict that pain? We’d suggest they do. Nick Chubb has put up over 100 yards in five of his games so far this season whilst he arrives here having bagged himself two touchdowns last time out. Amari Cooper and Jacoby Brisset, who has posted back to back 100+ QB ratings in the last fortnight, are more than tidy players.
Players to watch in the Browns vs. Dolphins game
Denzel Ward: If the Browns are to bag a positive result here they need to eliminate some of Tua Tagovailoa’s targets with the key player fitting that criteria being Tyreek Hill. Up against him will likely be Denzel Ward. Ward hasn’t played for a few weeks but is expected back for this game. He’ll have his work cut out but if he can organize with a teammate, it’s not an impossible task.
Tua Tagovailoa: We’ll stop just a fraction short of labelling the Dolphins as a one man team but there is no denying that Tua Tagovailoa is the one that makes this side tick. They’ve lost three games this season with all of those defeats coming with Tagovailoa sidelined. Since his return to fitness, he has thrown seven touchdowns in three games.
Our NFL bet of the week for the Browns vs. Dolphins match
Right, with the preview over let’s move on to our predictions, after all, that’s the main reason you’re here.
Browns vs. Dolphins Spread betting: Dolphins -2.5 @ -115
We kick off our betting tips for the Browns vs the Dolphins with a spread wager. We fancy the Dolphins to win the game but don’t believe they’ll sweep the Browns away hence why we’re opting for a small spread of -2.5 meaning the Dolphins will need to hold a three point margin over their visitors in order to win the bet. The Dolphins have won each of their last three games with each of those games coming by margins of at least three points. You’ve then got the Browns to consider. They’ve lost four of their last five games and, of those four defeats, three of them have come by at least three points.
Browns vs. Dolphins odds: Over 49.0 points @ -112
Our second prediction for this match comes from the total points market and we are backing over 49.0 points. The Dolphins have gone over that mark in each of their last two games and in three of their last five. The Browns meanwhile have a 50/50 record of going north of 49.0 across their past four games with their game average in that period sitting at 49.8 points. Finally, each of the last two head to head meetings have gone over 49.0 points too. With all that considered alongside the betting odds on offer, we think this bet offers reasonable value.
