Browns vs. Bills NFL week 11 odds, preview and current betting lines
The big talking point heading into this game is the fact that the game has been moved from Buffalo to Detroit owing to the bad weather that’s moved in over Highmark Stadium. That won’t completely transform what we expect to see in this game but the Bills being away from their natural home will be another thing for them to deal with. They’re already dealing with the prospect of going to three losses on the spin.
As for the Browns, their season is hanging by a thread as they sit with a 3-6 record. They’ve got their work cut out to mix it up with their AFC North rivals the Ravens and Bengals. If they’re to stand any chance of turning things back to a positive place then they’ll need to start winning games where they are the underdog – this game fits that bill.
In terms of how the game might play out it feels like the Browns only have one option, which is to lockdown Josh Allen. If they can get after him early doors then he could see his confidence evaporate. If, however, the Bills make a strong start then it could turn into a long afternoon for the Browns.
Players to watch in the Browns vs. Bills game
Cleveland Browns
Nick Chubb: Nick Chubb is a monster on the run. He’s put in over 900 yards so far this season from 160 attempts, which gives him an impressive average of 5.7 yards per attempt. He’s not just about yards though and 11 touchdowns and 13 receptions are evidence of that. He could be the Browns best chance of getting a result here.
Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen: It’s funny how quickly the tide can turn in sports, isn’t it? Two weeks ago Josh Allen was being lauded as the MVP in waiting. Fast forward through two defeats and he’s being cited as a problem by some fans. Not us though; he’s still vital to this Bills side and if they’re to fire then he’ll need to fire. 20 touchdowns and 2,733 yards across the season so far suggest he can do exactly that.
Our NFL bet of the week for the Jets vs. Patriots match
Right, with the preview over let’s move on to our predictions, after all, that’s the main reason you’re here.
Browns vs. Bills Spread betting: Browns +7.5 @ -112
We have looked at the game preview and now turn our focus on to the betting tips. Now, in a straight money line bet we’d be backing the Bills to bounce back from their recent duo of defeats, however, we’re actually offering a spread prediction and, as such, we’re backing the Browns but only with a +7.5 spread. The Browns have lost four of their last five matches, however, only two of the defeats have been by margins over 7.5 points ensuring that have a 60% rate of coming in inside that 7.5 buffer.
The Bills meanwhile have obviously lost their last two matches but they had won each of the last three before that; two of those wins came with a margin of victory greater than 7.5 points. Similar to the Browns, that means 60% of the Bills’ last five games have seen them fail to win by more than 7.5 points. The head to head record is the final nail in this bet; the Browns won the last clash between these teams and whilst the Bills had won the four prior to that, two of the three most recent Bills wins had been by just one and two points respectively. With that all considered, any Bills win is likely to be by a fine margin.
Browns vs. Bills odds: Under 49.5 points @ -110
Our next prediction for this game is from the total points market and we are backing this one to go south of 49.5 points. The Bills have seen four of their last five games go south of that 49.5 marker with a game average of 45.8 points. The Browns meanwhile have seen two of their last three matches go under 49.5 points with an average of 48.0 points. On top of both sides recent form leaning towards an ‘under’ bet, the head to head record also drives home our tip. Each of the last five h2h meetings between the Bills and Browns have gone south of the 49.5 mark; the peak game in that spell saw 46 points with the five game average sitting at a lowly 34.8.
