Nets vs. Celtics streaming: How to watch Game 2 live online or on TV?

The Brooklyn Nets are one game down in the series against the Celtics. Kyrie Irving was phenomenal scoring 39 points against his former team but that proved not to be enough for the Nets to win. Kevin Durant will have to step his game up and go over 30 points in Game 2 which will probably be the case knowing his offensive arsenal and competitive spirit. The Celtics are still 3.5-point favorites and have decent chances to go 2-0 up. Unfortunately, their starting center Robert Williams III is still out with an injury but Al Horford and Daniel Theiss did a great job under the rim. Anyway, every NBA should not miss on this game since it will be a real battle with maybe the whole series being decided in this game.

Are the Nets a real NBA championship contender?

There are not many cases of seventh seed team going deep in the NBA Playoffs but this year’s Brooklyn Nets are a case on their own. They were projected as the best team in the Eastern Conference going into the season with the big-three of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden ready to take over the league. They had many injuries and the luck run out on them in the series against the future champions Milwaukee Bucks. The Nets lost in Game 7 at home in the second round of the Playoffs.

Things didn’t start well for them as Kyrie Irving declined to be vaccinated and was banned from playing in the state of New York. Nets’ general manager Sean Marks said that he has no part time employees and Irving was out of the team. As the season progressed and some of the players, including Kevin Durant, went down with injuries, the team decided to activate Irving for road games. But Steve Nash’s team is simply not the same without Kevin Durant. With him being out, the Nets lost 11 consecutive games with Irving and Harden playing. All of a sudden, the Nets failed from the top of the conference to the eighth spot.

The troubles were not done for the Nets. James Harden demanded a trade explaining that he simply wasn’t happy in Brooklyn. Things moved quickly as the Nets agreed to send James Harden and Paul Millsap to the Sixers in exchange for Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond.

Despite Simmons being injured and still hasn’t made his debut for the Nets, this trade proved to be a huge boost for Brooklyn. Durant came back and the Nets started to play much better. They defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in the play-in tournament to advance to the playoffs and here they are. Brooklyn as the seventh seed in the East is facing the Celtics. They are 1-0 down going into the second game but they have everything they need to become champions. Durant and Irving have been there and the supporting cast is quite good and capable to help them to make it to the finals. But first, the Nets need to go past the Celtics.
