Brooklyn Nets vs. Boston Celtics Top Three Picks
Game 1 of the series between the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics couldn’t be more exciting. The Celtics had control over the scoreboard for the majority of the game. With a furious start of the second half the C’s went 13 points up but the Nets didn’t even think about giving up. Kyrie Irving stepped up and brought the Nets back in the final period. Kevin Durant had a chance to put the Nets up by three points in their final possession but that missed proved to be crucial. Jaylen Brown took the ball in the final possession for the Celtics but the Nets played good defense on him. After passing the ball to Marcus Smart, the point guard made an extra pass finding Jayson Tatum in the paint who made the game-winning layup.
The Celtics are favorites to win Game 2 as well but with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving with their back against the wall, the Nets will be dangerous.

Here are my picks and predictions for Wednesday’s NBA matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics. (Odds via DraftKings, BetMGM and Bet365)
Brooklyn Nets +3.5 (-110)
A match up between a second and a seventh seed could not be more unpredictable than this one. The Celtics proved that they are for real this season despite their main players still being very young. First-year coach Ime Udoka has won it all as a player and an assistant coach but he seems ready for a deep playoff run in his first year as a head coach. The Celtics shot pretty well from the field and grabbed 14 more rebounds than the Nets which was crucial for the win. The Nets shot over 53% from the field which is very uncommon for a losing team.
The Nets are too good of a team to go into a 2-0 whole and Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are too experienced to allow that. The Nets will get the lead early in this game and this one will go to the last shot as well. In that scenario, the Nets will definitely cover the +3.5 spread.
Bet With BetMGM >Under 223.5 (-110)
The 226.5 point margin is higher than the one from Game 1 but is lower than the total of that game. However, both teams shot in high percentage in Game 1 which will not be the case in Game 2. The Celtics allow league-low 104.5 points per game and both teams will not go over 110 points like they did in Game 1.
Bet on NBA Playoffs With CaesarsKevin Durant over 29.5 points (-110)
Kevin Durant scored 23 points in Game 1 which is low for his standards. KD shot 9-of-24 from the field and 1-of-5 from three-point territory. He was the second-leading scorer in the regular season with 29.9 points per game and will have to go over that average to try to lead the Nets to the victory.
