Boston Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks Game 3 Preview
The Eastern Conference Playoff battle has not been as interesting as this season with multiple teams having equal chances of advancing to the NBA Finals. Two of those teams are definitely the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks but unfortunately, they are facing each other early in the Playoffs.
The Celtics had the home court advantage going into the series against the defending champions but things didn’t start well for Ime Udoka’s team as the Bucks won Game 1. The Celtics were under huge pressure going into Game 2 especially after the Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart was ruled out. The Celtics, who shot only 33.3% in the series opener, went hot hitting 20 of their 43 three-point attempts for an impressive 109-86 win in Game 2 over the Bucks.
Now with the series moving to Milwaukee, the Bucks are a 3-point favorite going into Game 3. Coach Budenholzer will not be able to count on the All-Star shooting guard Khris Middleton who will miss this game as well as the backup point guard George Hill. The Celtics also have issues with injuries as Marcus Smart is questionable for Game 3.
However, the Bucks are favorite when they play in front of a packed Fiserv Forum. Despite the fact that the Celtics are the best defensive team in the league, there is no way they can slow down Giannis Antetokounmpo. They forced him to miss some shots in Game 1 but the Greek Freak found a way to help his team by doing everything on the court finishing that one with a triple-double. Anyway, the Bucks will have to improve their outside shooting as they made only 3 long-range shots in Game 2. Whoever wins this game will have a huge advantage as the series progresses.
