Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat Game 1 Preview

The two opening rounds of the Eastern Conference Playoffs have brought so much excitement for the NBA fans but the real things is yet to come. The Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics finished as the top two seeds of the conference in the regular season and now they are going into the series that will give the Eastern Conference champion that will advance to the NBA Finals.

Both teams lost three games so far in the NBA Playoffs but it seems like the Heat had much easier road to the conference finals. They defeated the Atlanta Hawks in the opening round by 4-1 and than lost a pair of road games against the Philadelphia 76ers but still managed to finish the series with two consecutive wins in six games. The Celtics swept the Brooklyn Nets in the opening round but were on the verge of losing the series against the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks led three times in the series and had a “match-point” at home in Game 6 but the Celtics won back-to-back games by double-digit, and here they are back in the conference finals.

The Heat are hosting the Celtics in Game 1 on Tuesday and they are a 2-points favorites. They had more days to rest which will definitely make a difference in the opening game of the series. Anyway, the Celtics proved that they are ready for big things and there is no way they will go down without a battle.
