We’ve seen many highs and lows by the Celtics and the Heat in the Easter Conference Finals so far, but, ultimately, the teams are tied at 2-2 and we are going back to Miami for Game 5. Will the Heat take the home-court advantage or will the Celtics put up another great show like they did in Game 4?
The Eastern Conference Finals are getting to a critical stage with the two teams tied at 2-2, so we expect some exciting duels in the remaining games of the Celtics vs Heat series in these NBA playoffs.
The Celtics failed to keep the break they made in Game 2 in Miami due to their loss in Game 3, but Boston quickly bounced back and they were furious in Game 4, blowing the Heat in a convincing fashion. The status of Marcus Smart, who missed Game 4, is still unclear, with Robert Williams III also potentially out with a knee injury he is carrying throughout the playoffs, but he is probable.
Boston Celtics Stats:
Record (Regular Season + Playoffs): 61-36
ATS: 54-41-2
Over/Under: 47-48-2
Meanwhile, the Heat got back the home-court advantage in the series thanks to their win in Game 3, but their lackluster performance in Game 4 has to worry their fans. In addition to this, Tyler Herro missed this game and he might end up missing Game 4 as well, with Butler dealing with a nagging injury as well, but he will likely play through it, as he did in Game 4.
Miami Heat Stats:
Record (Regular Season + Playoffs): 63-34
ATS: 55-41-1
Over/Under: 54-43-0

Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat Game 5 Odds Analysis
As we expected after that performance in Game 4, the two teams are pretty much even when it comes to odds for Game 5, despite the Heat having the home-court advantage in this game. At the moment, the Celtics are priced at -120 on money line, while the odds on the Heat on money line are set at +100.
Meanwhile, the line for points total remains low, but since Game 4 was the first one to go under and by more than 20 points, the line even dropped a bit from 207.5 to 203.5 total points. This was the starting point before the series started and it is pretty low, but these are two teams that can play amazing defense.
Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat Game 5 Picks
Before we share our betting predictions for the Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat Game 5, we suggest you check our NBA daily betting picks and NBA playoffs parlay tips.
So, here are our picks and predictions for Wednesday’s NBA matchup between Boston Celtics and Miami Heat:
Boston Celtics on Money Line @ -120 (Odds via Bet365)
If any series so far has been unpredictable in these playoffs, it’s this series. The two teams failed to show consistency and we’ve seen drastic shifts in their performances not just from game to game, but from quarter to quarter. Overall, the two teams are tied and the Heat have the advantage of the home court.
But we can see that changing after Game 5 since we can see the Celtics winning this game. Although they have been far from consistent, the Celtics only lost three quarters in the first four games, and one of them was the fourth quarter in the last game, which was already over by then. So, go with the Celtics on money line in this game.

Under 203.5 Total Points @ -110 (Odds via BetMGM)
After the first three games of the series have gone over the line for total points, to our huge surprise, the last game has gone well below the line despite the fact that the line was set at 207.5 total points. Now the line once again drops to where it was ahead of Game 1, which is 203.5 total points.
Now, we don’t like that. We feel it’s too low and even a solid shooting night from one team could push the total points over that line. But we can’t bet on over since these two teams have shown amazing defensive abilities in these playoffs. So, we are sticking with under for Game 5 as well.
Our Bonus Player Prop Pick: Bam Adebayo Under 15.5 Total Points @ -105 (Odds via Caesars)
The Heat center has scored 16 or more points in just five of the twelve games he played in these playoffs, and he particularly struggled in these series where he went over just once. In fact, the only time he went over was in Game 3, a game which Robert Williams III missed and since he will probably play again in Game 5, we don’t see Adebayo having a good offensive night.
In addition to Robert Williams III, the Celtics also have Al Horford in the paint, so it’s a tough task for any center in the league to score against those two. That task is even harder for Adebayo who is hardly a threat outside of the paint, which makes it much easier to defend him down low. All in all, we don’t see Adebayo scoring 16 points or more in this game.
