Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors Game 2 Preview

The Golden State Warriors had control over the score in the opening game of the NBA Finals but the Boston Celtics went on to an impressive run to finish the game. The Warriors led 92-80 going into the fourth quarter and then the Celtics simply took their game on another level winning that period by 40-16 for a final 120-108 win.

What makes the Celtics win even more impressive is the fact that their best scorer this season finished with only 12 on 3-of-17 shooting from the field. Veteran Center Al Horford had another impressive performance leading the C’s with 26 points followed by Jaylen Brown with 24 and Derrick White who added 21 coming off the bench. The Celtics shot over 50% from both the field and the three-point line which was too much for the Warriors.

Steph Curry led the Warriors with 34 points in their first home loss in the Playoffs this season. Andrew Wiggins scored 20 points and Klay Thompson added 15 for the Dubs.

Not Steve Kerr will have to find a way to lead his team to a win in order to avoid a deeper hole before the series moves to Boston. The Warriors are a four-point favorite going into Game 2 and anything but their win will be a huge upset.
